Sunny,
As far as dance styles.. I'm sure the 2000 has some good style for that.. However, you want to consider this.. I too write dance music, and one thing none of the PSR's do is pattern chaining.. Pattern chaining for dance music makes things SO much easier. I used a pro synth for my dance music. The PSR-2000 is more than capable of producing dance music, especially since you can edit the voices now, but it will be a little more difficult to write. If you write dance music on your 740 you'll find the 2000 makes it easier because the style sequencer is way better than on the 740.. The 740 doesn't allow you to copy your variations, but the 2000 will.. This makes recording styles MUCH quicker and easier to do.. Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard that you can now move from one variation to the next within the 2000 without having to use the fill ins... If this is true you can get a pattern chaining effect just by recording 4 variations of a style......
