First of all, I like different styles of musics, except for jazz (sorry jazz lovers). I play in a band where they play country music for various fundraisers, which i use Yamaha EX7. Since I grew up with listening to 80s, I just love those songs such artists as Pet Shop Boys, Art of Noise, Herbie Hancock (I guess thats why they inspired me to start playing keyboards).
Anyways, I am planning on starting another group (playing yesterdays n todays pop and rock hits). I purchased some keyboards already (Roland VP550 and Yamaha Tyros 2) and I am planning on buying some more keyboards since they seem to fit the sounds I wanted (Korg Oasys, Roland Fantom-X and Open Labs Neko). I have seen the previous forums on most of them (their advantages n disadvantages), that why my mind is set on purchasing those in the next 2 months. Does anyone know if there are more websites on demos on Neko? I have been to their website already but they only post 4 or 5 samples.

I would wait until after the NAMM winter show in January (music trade show in US) because some new things are coming out (especially Korg) and you want to get the latest, don't you?

The 80's music you like is very synth heavy, so virtual analog keys might complement your arsenal. Maybe Nord Lead, might get a lot of those sounds. But I hear rumblings that Korg may replace the Triton with something based on the Oasys, so maybe it's worth waiting.

In the meantime, crack the manual, and really dig into what the T2 can do. It's pretty powerful if you spend the time to learn how to program it.....
