DJ, just listened to your newest song original thru headphones. Impressive arrangement, instrumentation & vocal expression & delivery . Your vocals no longer have the strained quality of your early work which now allows your voice to shine, and the lyrics are more easily understood as well. Bravo! Your song showcases the possibilities of the PSR2000 when put in creative hands . . . yours. Ok, please share with us what PSR2000 auto accomp STYLE(?) & instrument patches (voices) were utilized on this song. - Scott

Hey Scott,
Thanks for the listen...Hard to believe it's been 2 and half years with the 2000... Thanks for the nice words... That's the reason I have an arranger keyboard... I want to compose and never claimed to be a musician, and me 2000 helps me... I always think we should share what we do with our boards... The vocals have been an on going challenge as I have learned to record... And now I think I'm in a comfy zone...

Goodbye, 8BeatRock, temp, 122
If you want to use a Guitar, always choose the deep chorus on main, (like in this song) I like to use it along with the Solid chord, however. On this one I used the folkGw_pick1... Then live stings and topped off with...Cyperpad for the chimes...

Oh, on a side note… You can only use variations 1 and 2, 3 & 4 are too cheesy…

There you go,
DJ

Sounds a lot better than the first ones I've heard. Is it just sound improvement or you, don't know but sounds good.

"Let's go" I enjoyed too.

Keep up the good work!!

Hey DJ -

I really liked Let's Go. You've got a great voice and the arrangement was great too.

Tommy

PS> Please don't take this as an insult, but you could move to Vegas and do a killer Sting impersonation. I mean your voice would be scary on some of those classic Sting songs. You could still write music and make your own records too. It's just that Sting has a very unique voice and you seem to have the same voice naturally, not out of mimicry. And mind you, this is coming from a guy that can't sing Happy Birthday, so it shows what I know.

Thanks Guys,
If I had a hit tune it would be Let's go... Everyone seems to like that one a lot... As for sounding better... I think I'm starting to get this recording nonsense down... It's tough, you got to make music, sing the tune, engineer it... Lot's of hats...
As for moving to Vegas and doing Sting... Yeah, I could pull that off but I sure don't look like'em.... For me, I'm really into my own groove now and I don't think it's that much STing like...

Thanks for the listen and the time... Now if only one of you would donate a psr3000, I could really get rocking!!!!

You sure could pull it off. I think that anybody that hears your voice and DOESN'T associate it with Sting would be crazy. Reminds me of a friend I traveled overseas with. True story - everywhere we went girls told him he looked EXACTLY like Rob Lowe (this is 10 years ago). He couldn't stand it. He would get mad and say he looked nothing like him and he'd never talk to any girl that ever said that to him.

I never understood it. The only guy I ever was compared to was Richie Cunningham from Happy Days. Man did that suck! It would be similar to somebody telling you that you sound just like Marilyn Manson.
