Yeah, I agree with you...it is rather annoying, and since I do all my style making on the keyboard, it is a limitation, to say the least
Even if you take parts from one style and put them in another(style assembly), you still can't edit.
I'd like to see them upgrade it, since it's hardly changed much since the PSR-8000.
All the best,
Ian

Couldn't we simply edit one little thing somewhere on the factory style, say add a meaningless CC, and then save it as a user style? Question 2.. after that, would we then be able to edit the non drum parts inside of the T2 ? I haven't tried that out, as I usually use onboard Style Assembly and Groove/Dynamics to get what I want. I think the part has to be played in for editing to be allowed, at least within Style Creator. Perhaps if it were changed in an external sequencer and saved it may allow you to edit. I don't use anything other than Style Creator, so I don't know the answer. Hope you're enjoying your T2.I simply love mine. Ian ------------------ Remember to leave good news alone.

Hi Marc, unfortunately software is the only way to step edit style parts other than drums. To my dismay, I discovered that a few years back when I bought my 9000pro, I didn't read the manual correctly before I bought it, I thought I could step edit all the parts. I use OMB ( stylemaker section) for editing my psr styles (for use with OMB software. )Not sure how it works with megavoices though?? http://www.1manband.nl/omb.htm Michaels software may work for you, but I think you also need a sequencer that supports casms?? http://www.svpworld.com/util_stylemaker.htm Not familiar with Jorgen's software but he may also have a program that edits. http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/ best wishes Rikki [QUOTE]Originally posted by MarcK: [B]

There is a setting in the Casm that, when enabled, will allow tracks to be edited on the PSR if there is only one track per part. The program StyleEdit will allow this code to be enabled.
However, almost all modern styles use more than one track for each part. The tracks are played depending upon the type of chord (major, minor, etc). For these styles, you need to edit the style in a sequencer. My program StyleMaker will allow the styles to be edited in Cakewalk, Power Tracks, etc and retain the original Casm. Alternatively, you can use the program CasmEdit. This does not require a sequencer.
Regards,
Michael
