Sander, In the past, and currently, Roland US has not sold as many higher end arrangers as they would have liked here in the US. If their inventories start to pile up, they can't go to the big stores (chain) and offer them bigger discounts, because they still generally wouldn't be purchasing these high arranger keyboards, so Roland might come to their dealers who have shown success with sales of their products and offer deeper discounts if enough keyboards can be bought by the dealer. There is no dropping currently of the official price and if a dealer only wants to buy a couple of keyboards they will still pay the same price as we were paying last year. I was told that my price paid at NAMM would only be a NAMM show special and might not be offered later in the year. Two years ago, Roland did the same thing with the G1000 and the EM2000, reducing the costs until they sold out of units. However, that was done by the pro division and the CK division is not selling single units and they have not discontinued the VA products, they only wanted to reduce their inventory in their warehouse in California. I have always liked the VA products alot, and although many do not like the touchscreen for pro players playing live, I love it for my home, consumer players who want something that sounds great and is very easy to use. With the new version 2 software installed, the VA7 has become even a better product then last year. George Kaye Kaye's Music Scene
