For Tyros owners.
This might be old news for some, but I saw on the German Yamaha site that you now you can get something that looks like sliding brackets for the speakers and the note pad. This will obviously ease the mounting job tremendously.

Hi Roy-Andre

When you say "Notepad" are you referring to the music rack? I didn't see any reference to a removable music rack bracket on the German Web site.

Hi Al!
Us f****** foreigners!!
I mean the music rack/stand that you put the notes/musicsheets on. Here it says "Die Halterungen für die Lautsprecher und den Notenständer". Meaning all the four brackets!

Thanks for the info..

Geez, you don't have to get so worked up.

Any idea from the website that approximates the cost of those brackets!

Hi Roy-Andrč

Many thanks for sharing the terrific news about the new Tyros brackets which will allow you to a lot more quickly & easily add/remove the speaker & music rack 'brackets' from the Tyros. I too am very interesting in purchasing these brackets. Can someone tell me on how much they cost, as well as where I can actually purchase them from? Thanks. - Scott

Al, I didn't get worked up, it was a bad attempt at a joke really. Cheap shot I guess.
Scott, I think this is official Yamaha hardware. I told my contact at the local store to order a set, I'll let you know about the outcome. This sure is a great thing. If only they'd done this in the first place...

They should give all Tyros owners the brackets for free......maybe it was planned this way to make more money off customers after the initial purchase...Hmmmmm?

Dnj,

Your soooo right. Someone on the Yahoo Groups "tyrosworld" invented a set of metal brackets that you can replace for the music rack that brought the rack closer to the reader.

Anyone see this or try to create them?

Roy-andre: Just want to make sure I didn't offend you in any way. Since you were trying self-depricating humor, I am now relieved to know your ok. :-)

Thanks
Al

I used a band saw and sawed out slots so they would slide over the screws. Works just fine. Just unscrew the screws so they stick out far enough to slide easy. Bob Lee
