Hi Tony: I agree. With the exception of Arturo Sadoval, Oleta Adams, Issac Hayes, and James Carter, all the other musicians I've not heard of either. That certainly doesn't mean the others aren't talented though. It's obvious that many more all time legendary 'jazz' greats will be appearing at the 'North Sea Jazz Festival', further proof that europeans (& japan too) appreciate traditional american jazz more than americans.

I think that here in america, commercial pop music rules. Yet another excuse for us jazz fans to plan a music trip to Europe.
