Can everybody please give me a clue about what PA system are you using with your keyboard, and what's your keyboard? (Especially if you also sing, because I'm now working with a singer, so I need a good sound also with regardig the vocals).

Maybe this will help me on my purchase...

Thanks in advance...

Yamaha Tyros or PSR2000 with Electro Voice SxA100s here. Great sound setup for BOTH keyboard AND vocals, especially for acoustic pop & jazz sets.

Currently PSR2000. The PA depends on the job. Everything from Peavey Escort to 1000-watt rack-mount system with mains, monitors and all.

For my solo/duo work I use my G1000 with my 1985 Roland cube 100's[2], along with a Mackie CFX12 mixer.. when I work with my party band, we use Yorkville NX520P 550 watt powered speakers[2] and a Yorkville 600 watt Sub Woofer..

9000 Pro with 3 Mackie SRM450 (one serves as a monitor) and a Mackie VLZ-1202 Mixer.

Great set up. I'm very happy with it.

Can the Mackies SRM 450 handle big sized rooms, with 300, 400 people?...

I got a pair of the JBL EON15 G2's. I'm using the Gator Speaker bags for my speaker and also the Gator rolling bag for my PA80. I find this easiest when moving around. Pretty much just three pieces of "luggage" for me. All the cables can be contained in the zippered sides of the appropriate pieces. Even the music stand of the PA80 can fit nicely in the keyboard bag also. Too bad the Kaces Porter bag can't do this or I would had selected that for my PA80

The Kaces Porter allows you to attach an X stand outside the case. It has a little holder on the bottom of the case that secures the stand there and it can be secured on top with the strap. Very handy, and you don't have to scratch up the bottom of your keyboard.

I have a PSR2000 and used two JBL 10G2 Eons. The keyboard and each speaker weighs just 23 pounds apiece. I use the built in mixer in my keyboard. Although I personally don't sing, voice does sound very good through it. These speakers are small, lightweight, and sound great with a lot of bass available. I haven't had this equipment that long but I would guesstimate that it would handle most situations with 400 people unless you want loud booming rock n roll bass.

Just sold the PSR2000 so I am left with the yamaha P-80, S-90 to come (or perhaps the new MOTIF rack). I utilize a Mackie DFX-12 Mixer and EV SXA-100 speakers. Awesome sound, great Vocal clarity. I also utilize a Mackie 1501 Subwoofer when I do the DJ thing. 300-400 people with the EV's?. Nothin to it. But it depends on the room, set-up and what you're playing. The EV's and the Sub are fine playing CD's for dancing. Just the keyboard and vocals appear to be fine too, but I never crank it much during dinner and cocktail hour. Good Luck Brian
