I'm looking for something that will handle my solo/duo stuff...

My needs are as follows...

A minimum of two stereo channels (one for my T2 and one for my external harmonizer/vocals.)

A 3rd stereo set of RCA ins/outs...

At least 2-4 standard mono channels for an extra mic or for my sax guy...

Some reasonable EQ capabilities...

Reasonably good reverb...

Enough power to fill up a nice sized banquet hall or animal club...

Ideas???

Behringer is hard to beat for the bucks! Several choices available.

Guys-

I'm a little technically challenged, you might say...

So-

This is the box mixer I've used with great results: http://www.music123.com/Behringer-PMH2000-Europower-Powered-Mixer-631240-i1153483.Music123

This is a powered mixer I'm considering: http://www.music123.com/Behringer-PMH1000-EUROPOWER-Powered-Mixer-631252-i1153492.Music123

Can someone decipher all the tech talk and in plain English describe to me the main differences between the two?

I've seen several on line reviews indicating that the pmh1000 is not nearly powerful enough, even for mid sized rooms.

It looks like, spec wise and power wise, maybe this model is closer to what I've been using (pmx2000 is the one I've been using, happily)

Help!

Bill,
The PMH1000 doesn't have enough power for most. It's one of the older Beheringer power amps. All the newer models have alot more noticable gain. I would also recommend a new Yamaha called the EMX 212S. It's stereo, great effects, 200Watts per channel (clean and loud!) and it's built like the Mackie and the Behringer. It's light weight with a plastic cabinet and not very deep, like the other brands. The price is in the $350.00 range and you get a great mixer.
The Behringer that competes with this is the PMH 880S. Both have three band EQ on each channel and both have master 7 band stereo eq's on the mains. You can use the amps in stereo or use one as main and one as monitor.

Bill I recommend the Yamaha as well. I walked into a GC one day not intending to buy anything. I picked one up and couldn't believe how light it was and I bought it on the spot. I love it. Good luck.
