Oops, I forgot to mention that you need to click on the 'New SX KN7000' logo which will take you to the pic as well as information known about the KB (by Alec Pagida). - Scott

Hi Donny,
That's what I thought too, though I think the LCD & button panel can tilt all the way down so it is the same angle (almost flat) as in with other arranger keyboards. The idea is that this tilt-able panel will tilt all the down (the other way too) and act as a lid to cover the keys. My concern is because it is tiltable (moveable) that means MORE moving parts. To achieve this requires a cable to connect from the main keyboard to the panel button & LCD display. I remember (on my KN5000) that I had at one time experienced a loose cable connection problem between the tilt up color LCD screen & keyboard, so I can now see how this could be a even greater potential possibility with the KN7000 in this regard. I must say though that this laptop design concept is revolutionary for an arranger keyboard . - Scott

Scott,

I had problems with the K5 display also,

1- with loose wire connections

2- the swivel pin on one side of the display brok and it just dangled, (had to put a small pencil prop-up to keep it up :>)

I dunno, all that high tech stuff and a Vocalizer that sounds like a KAZZOO!! go figure?

I dont really know what to think about that design... That sure is a huge panel to lift up. I liked it better on the KN6000/6500. I thought they both had a really nice body design. The 7000 seems square and lacking the smooth curve line of the 6000/6500. Also how far in do the speakers go.?? Are they partially covered up by the tilted panel, and if so wont that make it sound muffled to the player? I really think Technics could have spent a little more time on this one. It just seems way too boxy. I know what it reminds me of now. It looks like a digital spinet.
