I was looking at www.soundfont.com/compatibility.html and see that Apple's Quicktime Player is soundfont compatible. My question is: Does anyone know if it could be used as as stand-a-lone soundfont player, or do you still need a soundfont compatible soundcard? Thanks.
All this means is that the software on the list is capable of recognising soundfonts and loading them into any device that can use them, such as those in the hardware list. So you still need a hardware or virtual synth of some sort.
