I bought those headphones w/mic by Plantronics, USB, that you use, works great. Spoke to John_Ca last night on Skype sounded terrific. Thanks for the tip.

Your website looks and sounds great.

Hi, I have just joined the Skype band, and have been using it for transatlantic video messages. I am thrilled with the capability, but am not happy with the sound quality using my webcam mic. It's OK, but sometimes it's clear, and other times not.

What is the plantronics model # that you are having good results with.

Graham

I don't see a model # on my headset. I think there's only one kind and it connects to the computer with USB. The price was $50.00 and I bought it at Circuit City.
Hope this helps. Goo luck

Hi Peter, great to hear you're enjoying the Plantronics Audio 45. I of course continue to recommend the Plantronics Audio 45 USB headset for PC voice chat, but I myself recently UPGRADED to the 2x more expensive! Sennheiser model: PC-155, for it's more rugged & durablable construction, more comfortable fit (at least on my head) and improved audio fidelity for PC multimedia sound (DVD movies,CD,gaming, etc):

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16826106381#DetailSpecs

Unfortunately, my Plantronics USB headset's wires got shorted out, due to my repeated clumsily accidental jerking on its relatively fragile wires. The Sennheiser PC155's cord wires appear a lot more rugged and able to survive repeated jerking.

If you're careful not to pull or jerk on its wires, the Plantronics Audio 45 is a terrific USB headphone choice, but if you tend to be rough on headsets like I am, it might be better to spend the extra cash for somethng like the Sennheiser PC155 instead of having to frequently replace cheaper headsets like I was having to do.
