Hi Frank, thanks , this is indeed terrificly encouraging news.

I'd like to now request that Tyros owners check and confirm if the Tyros indeed allows you to trigger the Multi Pads (1-4) via the MFC10 Midi Foot Controller:

1) Go to the Tyros MIDI Parameters Page:
* Function > Midi > Edit

2) Select the MFC10 Tab

3) Check to see if Multi Pads 1, 2, 3, and 4 are listed as selectable functions in the 'Foot Switch' and 'Foot Controller' Setting Windows.

The Tyros MFC10 Setup instructions are covered on page 148 and 149 of the Tyros User's Manual. Unfortunately I could not find a printed listing of ALL the Tyros functions assignable to the MFC10 foot controller, so . . . it would be really helpful if someone could put together a listing of ALL the Tyros functions shown in the: MFC10: "Foot Controller" and "Foot Switch" Settings Windows.

Many thanks to Frank for informing us that the Multi Pads (on the PSR9000/9000pro) are triggerable via MFC10, because on the PSR2000, it isn't. Thanks in advance to Tyros Owners for your assistance in checking if it works on the the Tyros.

Magali,

Many thanks. I assume, from my attempt at interpreting what you're saying that the Tyros will allow you to trigger each of the four multi pad buttons from the MFC10, and that this is setup from the Tyros' MFC10 'Foot Switch' setting window and NOT the 'Foot Controller' setting window, right?

I still hope someone (like Simon Williams) will be able to provide a complete listing of ALL 'Tyros functions' trigger-able by the MFC10 and/or dedicated Tyros foot controllers.

Scott,
Why not have a look in the Tyros manual, it should tell you there for sure.

Terry, I actually did Unfortunately the Tyros Manual (PDF file), pages 148 & 149, does not include a LISTING of the actual keyboard functions triggerable by the MFC10 or dedicated assignable foot switch pedals. Perhaps I wasn't looking in the RIGHT place? Maybe someone else here can spot it and report back their findings.
