Get a used 740 for less than $500 thereabouts on ebay. Has all the features of the 2000, not as much "flash memory" but if you want to sequence (record midis) step up to some software such as cakewalk HS 2002 ($84).
Cakewalk will also let you turn your midis into audio for CD buring and Mp3 creation.

I got my PSR2000 for $600.00 including shipping. It was used but in mint condition. Why buy 740 when you can get much better board for just a bit more.
