ok ok ok ...opinions... it’s right.
First of all many thanks to:

IDATROD for the “funny” translation of the brochure with USEFUL news that i didn’t know before! At least Now i know some characteristics of this keyboard!

SK880USER about the GENESIS pro. I will listen it.
thanks for your suggestion!

DANO1 for the USEFUL-USEFUL news! I have imagined that in other countries someone could be have news and “test” in advance...
First of all the price! Now i know that is OUT for me! The price of the SD1 plus is about €2800.. and it’s near the maximun limit foe me... besides you tell me that the “impressions” are not so incredible.
It’s an important message/opinion for me in the doubt of wait or not this new Korg.
Many many thanks.
you have removed me a weight from the stomach!! :-)) (it’s a joke.. ovviusly...)

about the answers of DNJ i didn’t understood..
why my question seems to be so stupid? Or useless..
desert.. mirage.. oasis... bah! I’m only finding the best investment NOW for my money.
All we know the problems related with the rapid evolution of products connected with the electronics/computerized tools and is really not difficult to spend badly the money, without right informations. we are not talking about 100 dollars... (or euro..)
Besides i’m not looking for happyness trought the “hardware”.
I buy my keyboard and then i forget ALL and i think only at the MUSIC! I don’t need a mirage.. today i try ONLY to save my money .
Your “philosophy”, in this case, seems to be very useless.. thenks to some people i have useful news now and those you speaks are probably your problems.
However... thanks to you, too..

Lets just hope and wait.....its the meanwhile thats starts to get on our nerves...it's almost like a mirage in the hot desert....you look ahead and see an Oasis in the distance, but when you get there it isn't really there at all. I use what I use to make a living for now...but I always have an eye open for the future, cause you never know !.....keep the faith..........we're all in it together

paolo,

My statement was addressed to everyone, and was meant in a general sense to mean.... Everyone is looking for the perfect keyboard for them. Everytime a new one comes out it becomes the latest and greatest re: {Oasis] in some peoples eyes. The minute it hits the streets it fizzles out and let the truth be known: [Reality].
In this game you need to do it yourself....do what it takes to try it yourself. Narrow down your needs and make a choice. Then after a month or so you could still be wrong.

It's good to get opinions and details on specs here and and on other forums from other musicians who use similar equipment. I agree with Donny here though too, and the most important part of his message is that you will never really know how a board is going to work in YOUR hands until you try it yourself.

Example.... I love my PA80, and it's OS "thinks" like I do.. maybe abstract maybe not.. who knows, but many other players prefer the Yamaha boards. No matter what anyone says, the OS works better for me on the PA80.. no qualms or doubts in my mind.

Point being, we all approach music and other things in general in our own ways, this forum is excellent as a point of reference and for some very valuable information based on the experiences of it's very knowledgeable members. I think it really gives someone an edge when looking for what to try out and a "heads up" on the advantages of and pitfalls of each product, but in my mind it's no substitute for trying gear out in real time..

AJ,

Well said !! You just have to get out there, drive some miles if that is what it takes, go make a friend and visit with them to try the Kb you wanna buy, whatever it takes. Buying a used one is not a bad thing either if it means getting the right fit for you versus settling for somthing you really dont want. Also try the Buy with 30/45 day return policy at some stores. Go see someone perform with the KB you like, see and hear what it can do. All this is better then just asking
"What keyboard Is The Best" and getting 40 different opinions that will drive you insane.....All hands On Board my friends, get your hands wet...if theres a will theres a way. I know yu'all can do it!!

Good Luck

DNJ,
i’m just a little angry because i don’t understand well english.. it would be much beautiful speaks to you in my language!! Ok, it does not matter.
Could you explain to me in other words:
The minute it hits the streets it fizzles out and let the truth be known: [Reality].
I’ didnt understood.
I think i’ve understood however the basis of your thought, but i think you don’t have read my post with enough attention.
I try to explain again.
When you say “Narrow down your needs”.. you’re right.. i think the same.
When you say “ you need to do it yourself”.. you’re right, but.. now try you to follow my “philosophy”..
I’ve clear my real needs.
I’ve clear how “money” i have.. :-)
I’ve clear that the final word is only mine when i can feel the keyboard under my fingers and with my auricle...
But in this world of electronic tools (i work with the computers from over 20 years...) the “best choice” could be
“to seize a fleeting moment”.. but with the right informations, FOR THAT MOMENT, on what it offers the market.
It’s non simple to know the scenario in an specific moment.
I known dealers that don’t know what they say, and you have NO right informations for your choice!.
Only AFTER you’ve clear all the purchase opportunity, you can make the best choice for your real needs, repeat, IN THAT MOMENT, and then to do yourself, as you say.
I’ve seen delaers to sell old keyboards to non-expert people with a very bad relationship quality/price or don’t say the right information for to eliminate the lyings in warehouse...
Why you don’t understand what i say? My english is not enough?? :-))
Now.. when i have finished this tour and i’ve choice my new keyboard (i change keyb in average every 5 years) i FORGET ALL!!! i don’t want to know NOTHING about new keyboards, release etc etc!!!
I love MUSIC, i love to play alone or with other people, i think only how to get emotions through the MUSIC, not through a mirage of a new keyboard that play for me. I love to play the PIANO.
I change the keyboard only for personal satisfaction to listen an instrument that sound better and have more feel when you play it.
Stop.
“REAL NEEDS” for me, are only the best emotions with the music, but, if you are not rich, you must be careful on how to spend your 3000$!!!! Only this!!!!
The “right information” and then let at your soul the choice!!!
Ok? ;-)

Paolo,
there is only one thing to do: wait until the new Korg hits the street and then try it yourself; meanwhile, you have the chance to try the SD1 plus (or a lot of other keyboards, for that matter): if you liked the X1, it's very likely that you are going to love the SD1.
OK?

Paolo,

Your English is pretty good. I understand you very well. I think you know the whole story on getting a new keyboard. It's just a matter of time until they come on the market after their press release at namm etc etc ...there are many choices to make a decision "BEFORE" & "AFTER" you buy that I have listed in my previous post. You sound very passionate in your music and thats a good thing.

Good Luck in your Search

DNJ,
i think that we have understood.... now....at least just a little better!!! :-))) joke... i think that a part of the problem results from the different location where we lives. In a jungle as Rome, where i live, is very difficult to have time and the availability from a dealer to speak about your needs, the famous informations for the best choice etc etc.. i don't know if in N.J is different.... maybe!!! Thanks for the pretty exchange of opinions.. at the next!!! :-)
bye
Paolo
