Hi Gang,

I've overhauled my website, moved it to a new hosting service and am looking for some feedback.

Functionality, so far, is good by all reports. I have heard a few comments about the audio not working for some visitors. I'd especially appreciate if anyone has the time to visit www.billcorfield.com and let me know how it worked for you. Also, if you do run into any problems, please email me via the site with information on what media player/operating system/browser you use...

I've also added a guestbook, which anyone is welcome to sign...

Thanks very much in advance...

I sure agree with Don. Nice clean working site. I really loved your arrangement of Cab Driver a long time favorite of mine.
Best to you and your continueing career.

Hello Bill,
Haven't heard from you for a long time.

If I were you I'd put the link to the Guestbook in the left menu. If you hadn't told there was a guestbook I wouldn't have noticed it

Regards,
George

Your site is nice and clean but I have two comments.

1. Your menu... some of the titles are too long. To give a menu a uniform look, all titles should fit on one line. You could change them like this.

Bio
Song List
Schedule
Booking
For Seniors
The Band
etc.

2. I only looked at one other page, the one for seniors. And your column or section width for your copy is far too narrow. WAY too narrow. It is causing your list of senior centers to get all screwed up. And even if it didn't, it's too narrow. Twice that wide would be appropriate. And I tested both Firefox and IE browsers.

Good luck.

Bill:

I like the look of your site and particularly like the way your song list opens in a pdf. A suggestion I do have is that you may want to set your calendar and song list to open in a separate window. The only way to get back to your home page/navagation page is to click the back button. Better if they opened in a separate window.

FWIW, this flies in the face of what usability gurus teach. I used to do what you said but in the past couple of years, they are saying no, do not do that. Keep it simple. A user KNOWS that when he is on any one page, all he has to do to get back to where he was on a previous page is hit BACK button. Otherwise, people get confused with multiple windows.

Realizing that these conclusions are deduced from fancy tests where they track eyeballs and frustration levels and questionaires and such. Rather than what you or I think.

OTOH, what do I know.

Hi Bill,

Great website. I love what you've done with the place!!!

I love your singing, especially your phrasing. Very nice. What keyboard are you playing these days?
