Can we buy off market flash card for the X1 and possibly with more MB. Currently the Card sold by Solton is 8MB and sells for around $120. I saw a card that has the same specs and looks the same (or so I think) and it has 80MB for $230. I would love to have that much space on my flash card so that I don't have to worry about where to load my samples (RAM is only 16MB on X1). Here is the site where I saw that: http://www.pcconnection.com/scripts/productdetail.asp?sku=56352&SourceID=k2776

If that is not the right card, does anyone know if there is a right card with more memory out there, and can it be used with X1?

Thanks

I tried a 16MB flash card before and it did not work. Where can you buy a 8MB card for $120? It cost about $300 CDN ($200 USD) here in Canada.

I agree with Henry, we even tried another make 8 MB and it didn't work too.
Where can you get it for $120?

Can A.J. elaborate on the possibility of loading more than 8MB on the X1?

The card that i use comes originally from Ketron. It is a regular Flashcard made by Intel.
However, Intel does not supply too endcustomers, but Centennial does.
See for more specs at www.cent-tech.com.
The type-number of the card is : iMC008FLSC-10 and is categorized by the Value Series 100.
I dont know any prices, but you can always inform by Suzanne Woodhouse (Swoodh@cent-tech.com), Customer Service Manager by Centennial.

Annother thing : The X-series does only accept 8MB Flashcard !!!!

Greetings from Belgium.
Carlo.

Thank you all for the "disappointing" replies. I was hoping for a different answer.

The price I got on this card was from George K whom I bought my X1 from. If I am wrong about this price he can correct me on this, but this is what he told me what it would cost to buy one. If this is his price then I think he will be getting a few sales out of this according to what I am hearing from you guys. He is a good person to deal with.
Carlo I do have that card already, I was just wondering if I can end up with a card with more memory. Thanks.
