My Solton has left and right outs and a combined left/right out. I often use the combined out into a mono amplifier. Did solton solve th phase problem with the combined out, or should I use the left and right outs into a stereo head? I have been relatively happy with the sound, but have noticed that some of the sounds have appeared a little thin. No real complaints, but was just wondering...

Thanks,

Russ

I used to have an X1 (Tom Cavanaugh stole it from me) and I thought it sounded better in stereo. I don't know if that was because of phase issues, but I thought Solton had an excellent panning layout and I like to hear stereo, so I always use stereo whenever possible.

Try it both ways and let your ears be the judge. My experience has been that both the L and the R wired to a mono amp trumps the "L/R Mono" out alone.
