Hello,

When I had my old Yamaha PSR-740 Keyboard, it was possible to change from variation A to B using a fill in.

I've found that on the sd1 this is possible "sometimes", I don't know why.

Is there some special set up or configuration for doing this? I would like to be able to change from one variation to another using a fill in.

Another thing that I found interesting is that the tempo cannot be lowered to some values that are needed for some songs. Sometimes the lowest value is 90, 80, 110, and it's impossible to go lower than that. Is this the way it has to be or I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance,
Guillermo.

Here's what's going on.
The only way to make the variations go up or down when you hit fill is by turning on the "jump" feature. You will find a button with this name. If off, the variations just stay right where they are and when on, if you push the fill 1 the variation goes up, fill 2 variation goes down and fill 3 the variation stays right where it's at. Be carfull though that when in the "jump" light "on" possition, you will not get an intro but rather an ending at the beginning and you will get a intro instead of an ending when you have already started the style playing.
the second issue is because of the sample loops. If the style does not contain a sample loop, your tempo control in fully functional from the slowest to the fastest values, but if there was a loop, you may only change the tempo within the range ketron allows because anything slower would cause the style to sound bad. This is also the same situation with the X1. Many customers have asked why the bossanova only goes down to a certain speed and no slower and this is the reason.

Thanks George for your answer, this solves my problem.

It's too bad that we can't go slower on some styles. I think that I'll have to use StyleWorks and have some Yamaha PSR styles on my SD1.
