I'm a 70's rocker trying to ove into the 21st century. I have and like my Alesis QS8 but know I'm using it in a limited way. I need someone (or audio/video) who can help me navigate around it or provide some tutorial time. For example the manual says I can split and get 16 sections to use on the keyboard but I can't do it. I'd appreciate any help.

While not an instructional tool, I purchased a pretty good editor for the Alesis recently that has helped me understand the KB much better than I ever have in the 5yrs Ive owned it. It is called QSEdit (http://www.soundtower.com). While it does not offer anything new compared to the editor that comes with the QS, it is organized much better. It still requires some studying of the manual to make since of things, but I feel now that I can understand the aspects of the QS that I want to use. I believe there is a free trial download. Take a look at it.
