Folks,

This is a question for music arrangers Not arranger keyboards.

I thought the Tyros Glenn Miller sound was very good. I believe the voice I used for "Moonlight Seranade" was called Moonlight.

I don't find anything that good on the Sd-1 so I will create it.

What instruments make up that voice and in what order are they? I believe the clarinet is on top, followed by sax section. Is there a trumpet in there also? If so where? I believe the Tyros also uses harmony on one of the voices maybe?

I'm thinking:

Top - clarinet
Middle - saxes with harmony
Bottom - trumpet doubling the clarinet

What do you musical arrangers think?

Thanks,

Tom

The "miller sound" was a clarinet lead, with a tenor sax - or saxes - playing the same melody one octave lower than the clarinet." Other trademarks of his band included the steady brass section, consisting of four trumpets and four trombones.
On my 3k and using the Moonlight Ballad style I use R1 Clarinet,R2 Tenor Sax,Harmony on 4-Way Close1 and set to affect R1 only.
I don't believe there was a trumpet used.

Hope this helps,
Ian
