My brother-in-law has a Mackie 24x8 stereo mixing/recording console he would like to sell. It is in great shape and he has all the original boxes, materials and everything - he's a neat-nik. He wants to ask $1800-2000, is that a fair price?

Any comments or takers?

The new ones go for $2,900 so I think your figure is in the ballpark for a used one. If it is in excellent shape like you say it is then $1,800-$2,000 is a fair price IMO. If you do decide to sell it on ebay just be careful. Just remember; you are more likely on a percentage basis to get conned on ebay than you are to get a flat tire on your vehicle. Have your antennae raised and on alert and be suspect of any suspious characters especially if their names they give you are Craig Schiller or Brian Hylatt.

Best regards,
Mike
