Just wondering if anyone could help me...haven't received a response from Klaus at EMC yet. I am using the latest version (2.43) of Style Works 2000 Roland and am encountering a problem. When using the Style Editor Module (in "Parts" mode), I am unable to actually delete any unwanted parts. I have followed the instructions to the letter, selecting single or multiple parts...then hitting the "Delete" button. It shows the parts being deleted, but after saving the file to a new folder, then re-opening the file...the deleted parts are still there! I am trying to delete the unwanted data just to create more space in my keyboard for more user styles. What am I doing wrong?

Many thanks!

Michael

Hi Michael.
not sure you can completely remove a part from a style ie an intro or a variation etc
Maybe because the style wouldn't work in your keyboard anymore with parts missing.

If you want to reduce the size of the style , try removing the minor & 7th variation,of the style part you don't want, save it.
Reload go to the track editor instead of the part editor & remove all the tracks except for drums (on the style part you don't want).
This hopefully may help in reducing the size of the style..

best wishes
