As Carlos Rodrigues mentioned earlier, one of the changes made in OS version 1.10 (main program) is moving the Registration Memory 'content's 'left voice' storage location from the 'style' section box to the the 'voice' section box. This effectively stores the left voice selection with the right & layered voices now. With this update fix, you now effectively save all 'voices' (main, ayer & left) in one place. Checkmarking only the 'voices' box in Memory Contents will save only voices (main, layer, left), allowing you to load any style to audition with your custom voices registration memory setup.

Prior to this 1.10 fix, when the 'left voice' was saved in the Reg Memory Contents 'styles section', I had come up with a work around solution for saving the the left voice too. This involved creating a 'blank titled' style, loading it into user memory, and then setting up the voice ONLY registrations (including left part) to be saved with the Blank style. After completing the custom voice reg setups, the blank titled style is deleted from the KB, allowing you to store both the style (where the left voice is stored) and main and/or layer voices (in the Reg Memory content's voice section). The KB would look for the the style entitled 'blank', not find it, but still use the stored left part. One important side benefit of my workaround solution, but not supported with Yamaha's actual OS update fix, is the ability to freeze ONLY the left voice. This provides the ability to mix/match left parts while selecting registration memories with customized right/layer voice setups. This may or may not be a valuable feature to you depending on your indiual needs & tastes. The main advantage is that it gives you the option to easily audition/perform more left voice -right/layer voice combination scenerios. I'm actually trying to weigh the benenfits of this vs upgrading and losing this feature. Haven't decided which option is the best (for me) yet.
