Could someone explain to me about what level of style editing or creating is possible from the keyboard itself? Can you actualy create styles on the keyboard, or edit notes or parts of existing styles? Or is this all done with software? I think you can edit styles in so much as you can mute certain parts from the keyboard itself, correct?
And, how would this information apply to the s900? What sorts of style editing do you expect can be done onboard with no external aid?

Hi,
you can do a certain amount of editing in the keyboard itself, but software gives more flexibilty.
You can mix n match individual style tracks ie use the bass from one style, drums from another, guitar from another etc etc to create a new style or replace tracks in an existing style. These tracks can be from a rom style or a user style.
You can event list edit drum tracks, but I haven't found a way of event list editing the other instruments, though the manual gives the impression it's possible. Maybe I misread it.
You can't create a style from a midi file on board, has to be done via software.

You can quantize, change velocities plus some other functions onboard.

Best option may be to download a manual on the psr's to give you an idea.
