I have been researching and auditioning arranger keyboards and I have finally narrowed it down to two keyboards The Korg PA80 and the Yamaha PSR3000 Heres my dilemma. I love the sounds/instruments of the 3000 and how you can play around with the different styles, but to me the styles seem a little old fashion sounding and uninspiring for writing pop and ballard type songs. Whereas the Korg instrument sounds are just OK but the song styles I believe are more contempary. Bear in mind that these are just my personal opinions and they have led to me narrow my choice the these two keyboard (and price as well).
Is it possible to purchase other song styles off the net and put them into the 3000 ? If so where would I look and what would they be called?

All of the Korg styles have been converted to PSR-3000 styles, tuned and tweeked very professionally. Therefore, I suggest buying the PSR-3000 and downloading the converted styles and you should have the best of both worlds. Maybe one of the members here with a high-speed connection can send the conversions to you via email.

Yes.....you can convert most styles to work in most arranger KB's using diferent programs like EMC Style works universal etc ...BUT, many times they dont sound as good as original unless you do some major tweaking & somtimes even that doesnt help....but its worth a try....good luck.

Thanks for your replies I didn't realize that the styles were available and could go from one keyboard to another that's fantastic. I have enabled my email to be seen by others incase some one wants to email me some styles, but I don't have a keyboard yet.
