Hi, just discovered this bbs. A most excellent place. I plan on making this a part of my daily stomping grounds. I didn't find answers in a search here, hence my first post.

I have a QY70 connected to a win/XP PC via 8X8 usb midi patchbay.

I expanded the backing track of a song, then had QY Data Filer grab it.
First; as a bulk dump.
Second; as an XG SMF.
Third as an SMF sans XG.

Here's what happened. The instrument assignments in these files got screwed up in both the pattern and regular tracks. The instrument assignments are now wrong in the QY70 as well. This shouldn't of happened because data extraction were the only tasks performed. Finally, the SMF files do not have the pattern-based drum tracks in them. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Leonard

Nada-one reply? More troubleshooting has narrowed it down some. It's most likely a bad driver in my Midisport 8X8 USB causing havoc. My Roland VS recorder is now unable to record sync track data correctly. Scary fast playback. Troubleshooting ain't as much fun as playing. Leonard

HI: Leonard
I don't have any answer to your QY problem, but hopefully
someone can help.
I know what you mean about more fun playing then it is
troubleshooting.
Hope you find the problem soon.
Denny
