What is the minimum CPC speed required to run XG Works? (I will not be recording live audio, just MIDI data) Does XG Works support only Windows 95/98? Starkeeper

The manual claims that you need a minimum of Pentium/75MHz and 16Mb. They recommend 166MHz and 32Mb. I'm running it on a P233 and 64Mb where it works just fine. Also running it OK on my PII 300 laptop. There's a patch for XP on the Yamaha UK web site.

I tried installing the XGworks 3.0 demo on my WinXP(home ed.) computer, and got the following message when I try to open the program: XG work.exe-Entry point Not found. the procedure entry point FT.Exit4 could not be located in the dynamiclink library KERNEL32.dll I uninstalled and reinstalled XG works again and got the same results. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
As far as I know it will only work with 9x/ME and XP with the patch. Yamaha specifically state that it won't work with NT type systems. Maybe the XP patch will fix it but you'd better ask Yamaha UK about that.
