If I click on a MIDI file on a web site, it opens in Windows Media Player. Is there some way to save the file? There doesn't seem to be an option to save the file. I want to save it onto my usb drive so I can load it into my PSR3000.
If not, alternatives? If I right click on the link, it only asks to save the target, not the file.

If you're going to start saving midi files, create a dedicated folder or two on your computer. When you save the target, a 'save as' box will appear with file and folder info. Make sure you have the correct folder identified. If you want to rename the midi file, this would be a good time to do that - if you accept that file's original name it may not be what you want to remember it as. The save box should also automatically save it as a midi file. Media Player is probably your default player for these file types, but you can change the association to something else, like VanBasco, RealPlayer, QuikTime or WinAmp, etc.

Thanks Fran, Cassp. Saving the target worked. I thought it would only save the link not the complete MIDI file. Doh!

If Media Player is already running (So that you can listen to the file before saving or discarding) go to the file menu and choose Save or Save As. (If the menu bar is not shown then with Media Player highlighted move your mouse to the Top Left of the player and the Menu Bar will appear.
Hope this helps
