Is the Mackie corporation still in financial
trouble? So if I invest in any of their products(like a mixer and SRM-450), and they go under, what happens to product support
as well as value?

Mackie is still around, however, and I'm a Mackie dealer with only one mixer left in stock, they have laid off over 1/2 their work force and if you are interested in the SRM450, I would seriously recommend the Behringer B300 which has a 15" speaker (mackie has 12"speaker), 300 watts of bi-amped power and sells for around $350.00 each. It's because of Behringer that Mackie has had such big troubles these past several years.
I think Mackie will be around for awhile, but the problems that the company has been having won't go away very soon if at all.
