HI,

Im in a slight dilemma. I have a PSR2100 & a Korg PA50. Im making a home studio and want to just keep 1 keyboard. I was thinking of seeling both keyboards and gng in for 1 high end KB. Was thinking abt the Korg PA1X and the tyros2. But the Tyros2 is a beyond my budget. Any suggestions?

Thanx
SUNNY

There's nothing wrong with the PA1X

But if this is a fixed installation you could get an awful lot of software-based sound processing for the same budget.

Hi,

I think the Pa1X is better than Tyros 2, and for this reason I own one. It's offering me much more in terms of specs, I like the sounds (even if also T2 is good in this area), it's stronger, has the 76 option, cost less.

Just my thought.

Regards.

sunster, keep what you've got for the time being and see what Yamaha comes up with when their PSR3000 replacement comes out either late this year or early next year. This will still cost less than the Tyros 2, or save up and part exchange both of yours for the Tyros 2. Both of your suggestions are good arrangers depending on your taste in sounds and styles of course but don't jump in without checking them all out.
The new Roland E60 would probably be in your range as well and maybe the Ketron SD5. There's loads to go at
By the way in the UK the Korg PA1x pro with 76 keys is actually more expensive than a Tyros 2
