Are they assignable? I seem to remember the older models could call up various song banks. I can't find anything at all about these, other than they all call up the User Song file.

Nobody much seems to be interested, but here's the answer just in case, thanks to Michael B.s FAQs.

F.11. Assigning Song (Style or Voice) Buttons

There are 6 Song button on the main panel (next to the Preset Styles). You can use these to access a directory or a file directly with one button depress.
To set a target, depress Song and then the TOP of button 8 (View) to change from the direct view (10 songs only) to number input mode. Go to the file or directory that you are interested in and then depress the screen Memory button and one of the 6 Song buttons.
The numeric display shows 16 songs on a screen, and you can advance by 16 with the buttons to the right of the screen. I do not think there is any limit < 250 (I saved 56 to one folder and it was OK). You can select song by scrolling the screen 16 files at a time or directly by number.

Don....The song buttions assignable is a great feature for sure.... I used to use it on the 9K all the time .....its kool especially when you need to assign songs to different genres eg: Xmas, German, Country SMF's etc, etc, ......

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering the same thing. I used my 9000's song banks all the time. I had not looked into how to program the song bank buttons for the T2. Thanks for explaining it.

Sorry for not responding sooner, but you can also do this with the STYLE buttons; You can assign the style bank Dance to a area on the hard disk using the memory button as well.
