I just bought a Casio 3200.
I would like to get a tutorial to learn the in's and out's (I'm a beginner).
I saw a tutorial DVD for sale on eBay for the 3000(Casio WK Series Keyboard Tutorial DVD) .
Is this a good tutorial? Any better ones?s this compatable enough for the 3200?
Thanks!

I have had my 3200 for about 3 weeks now, no tutorials are yet available that I have seen. I just hammered down on the manual and went thru each feature one at at time till I got the just of it. Some things I havent even used as of yet? The first thing to dabble around for me was the IDES software and seeing what the web had to offer for beefin that puppy up more, was blown away by things it can do. Never owned a Casio before or a sub $500 board for that matter, but this thing kicks major butt!! Let us know if anything in peticular is getting to ya

Welcome to the WK-3200 World!

Hi Audiophobe,
Congratulations on the purchase. There's no need to be afraid of the Casio.

I haven't seen the tutorial DVD, but the 3000 and 3200 are quite similar, and almost anything you learn about the 3000 will be applicable to the 3200.

There's a dedicated site for the more-recent WK series keyboards that you might want to check out: http://www.originalz.com/casio/casio_bbs/
It's possible some forum members there are familiar with the DVD.

By the way, it's unlikely that the Casio DVD covers things such as caring for your hands. So I'll suggest that you avoid injuring them, for example, in attempting to unlatch stuck car seat-bottoms. If that advice seems unrelated, please forgive me. )

I agree with quietDIN. Thats a great forum as well. I have learned several key tips concerning my board over there. Also some good links and stuff on the Casio Page here.. http://www.synthzone.com/casio.htm to get you in the right direction.

Hi and welcome...

I have the tutorial dvd. I found it quite useful and have watched it several times over, although it doesn't cover EVERY feature of WK's VAST abilities. And yes - it is equally suited to the 3200/3700 as their interface is almost exactly the same (I used to have the 3000 before recently upgrading to the 3200).

Hope this helps, and welcome again to the world of Casio WK - I'm sure you'll have much creative fun with your new board!!

Chris

I would like to check out this DVD? I searched around for it, "Technote.com" is out of them but say there is a newer one in the works in the near future? I wonder if it covers 3200/3700 series? If anyone comes across one, or wants to sell theirs..let me know..
Thanks,
The Casio Kid

These WK3000/3500 Instructional DVD`s appear to be getting scarce, so I bought two of them with hopes of getting one to someone in need. The hour long DVD covers many of the great features of the Casio WK Series keyboard and can be used for the newer WK-3200/3700 boards as well. I will sell a brand new copy at my cost plus whatever it cost to ship it to you, if anyone is interested?
$25.00(USD) I have a Paypal account that can be used as a possible payment option as well. Email me at blaz33ing@tampabay.rr.com if interested.

Thanks
Killer
