I know this is a simple, entry-level keyboard, but I couldn't help standing in amazement when I doodled on this board last weekend at Sam Ash. For all the features it posseses, it really is a fine board for the unheard of price of $199. Has anyone else seen or played this one?

when you see quality/feature/price on lowend yams you ask yourself why are they charging $1500 on 3k(similar construction and keys).it should be around $1000 max and for psr 1500-around $700.

This is the way that Yamaha, roland and.....all the others make money. For the good think you have pay. The Yamaha E403 is a good board but not enough for a pro that wants the top. You can call it also marketing policy.

I bought a low end Yamaha for $299 recently, and like you I was amazed at the features and sound. But ----- my interest died quickly, there was not enough there to hold my interest. I have never said that about my top end keyboards.
