Hi DonM, All things considered, where are you going to find a KB that plays easer, or sounds better, or less weight, or costs less, or loads from a floppy as fast, or reads a floppy direct without loading! All those Styles at your fingertips, right off a floppy! And sounds some would say are almost as good as the Pro! (At less than half the price!) Think about it, you don't want to give up that little Jewel! Ain't none other you could get, that would be perfict! Right? Nobby [This message has been edited by Nobby (edited 04-05-2002).]

I've been married three times, and I loved 'em all. I will change keyboards as soon as I find something that will do the job as well, mainly because Yamaha misrepresented this keyboard. It is a really good keyboard, but could be absolutely great with just a little work. I won't, however, go backwards and lose features that I need and enjoy, just for spite. There are other good companies making keyboards, and the technology is progressing very quickly. I'll check out the new offerings when they are available. I'm quite certain that it will be quite some time before Yamaha has anything new. I would consider Roland if it had a mic processor, but . . . it's down to Korg, Ketron and Technics, with the edge right now to Ketron. Either SD1 or the new one. I have become somewhat dependent on the internal speakers for monitors though, so maybe not the SD1. If the Technics still calls for a proprietary hard drive (read expensive!), then they will be eliminated as well. It's too bad there is no place to try out all the models and make an objective decision. DonM
