The psr3000 is definately my choice thus far, but what about the Korg pa60 or pa80?? Listen everyone, I have no where to go to try out these boards so I am relying on you ( travelin easy, don. etc...) and everyone else. This will ultimately be my last post before purchase. Please give me a clear shot comparison cause I know alot of people here own and/or have used the psr3000. Just want to know how the pa60/80 stack up against what I have chosen..

Get the PSR 3000 no contest, even I own a PA60......the 3000 is easier to use, more user styles to choose from, etc..

Technology tends to keep improving.

Go for the PSR3000. It has no competition in its price category. I give this a two thumbs up! Be prepared to be surprised by the quality of its voices when you hook this up to a decent sound system. May look like a toy, but sure sounds like a Pro device.

Ditto all the way. And I recommend that you purchase from one of the venders on the forum: George Kaye and Dan O'Neil.

They have good prices and they are always helpful with information on the boards they sell.

If sound is important go with a Korg. Feel of keys on 3000 are totally the same as your K-mart Casios and Yamahas. Korg has Dual sequencers and the styles are more realistic.

I put a post on about a very brief play on a PA60. My opinions match those posted previously.

In summary the 3k has the best bangs-per-buck so long as you are not put off by the key feel which is noticably inferior to the Korg. The styles on the Korg are a bit more complex; it is personal opinion as to whether this is good or bad. The Korg "Fills" and "Endings" do not match the styles very well, on some it sounds like a different band has turned up just to do the fills! Also the Korg OS is less easy to use. The Korg dual sequencer is a nice idea but the Yamaha "Instant play" feature means that unless you have an absolute neccesity to crossfade midi files you aren't going to find the lack of a second sequncer a big problem.

So I'm still going to get a PSR3000.
