i have a yamaha psr 1100.it has little internal memory.can I use something for external memory for example something in
the midi ports which can used for external memory. The floppy
diskettes are good but there are very slow for realtime performance.or
can I remove the floppy drine and put sd memory card drive like the
newest models of Yamaha???? I have some nice styles and I cant use
them as I like . Do you know where can I find good greek styles?????
thanks

For all questions concerning Arranger Keyboards/ Styles post over at the General Arranger Keyboard forum. You'll get your answers faster that way.

I actually doubt if you can replace the floppy drive with any other means of media storage. Unless yamaha themselves support the modification (with software etc) there's no chance of it. ...Or a very slim chance at that.

MIDI Sysex dumps (if that's what you meant by using something in the MIDI cables) are going to be way slower than your floppy disks so I don't think you'll find much use for it.

...But ask the guys over at the GAK anyway. may be there's something I don't know.

cheers,
