Give this a listen. I really thought he had a live drummer the way it sounded. He tells me it's Band In A Box. The 2007 version used live drummers. I'm impressed. This is the best I've heard.

I don't know that much about BOB. From what I've noticed on the forums it's pretty much preset backrounds according to the chord changes you program in. Correct me if I'm wrong. I never read those posts that closesly because it appeared to be something that I would'nt use.

It would be nice if they made a decent software arranger. Now that's would perk up my interest in no time flat!

Hi Scott,
the BIAB styles that use the " Real Drums" instead of the midi drums sound great.

They've got some demo's on PG music site http://www.pgmusic.com/realdrums2.htm

Don't always like their choice of soundsource for the rest of the instruments though.
I use either my SD2 module, or soundfonts or even my psr1500 for bass , guitar etc & the real drums are actually recordings of live drummers.

Unfortunately the program can't be used as a realtime arranger ( like OMB) but for anyone who uses midifiles, BIAB may be an option. You just type in a chord progression, choose style parts & you have instant backing.
The program can even generate solo's & melodies.
