I have just ordered a Tyros2 (I am trading-in my Tyros)and will hopefully be receiving it within the next two weeks here in the UK.

I spent a very enjoyable couple of hours playing on it at my dealer. I particularly enjoyed the new brass sounds and bigband/swing styles with all the trumpet shakes, brass falls etc. Great fun! Also played all the new organ and guitar Super Articulation voices (there are lots of them).

I can confirm that the new keybed has a much nicer more weighted feeling than the Tyros but am not sure if it is the exact same type as on the 9000pro (I used to own one but can't quite remember if the feel is identical to the Tyros2). I was told by my dealer that the Tyros2 keybed is the same one they used on the new Stagea organ.

Congrats Mike,
that is great. Looking forward to your report as I ordered one over three weeks ago but won't get it here in the stated until November.
Maybe I will use my 9000 as a master controler to play the tyros 2. Would that work?
Best to you, lucky dude

I have also ordered my Tyros2 on Monday from a UK dealer and have been quoted mid November or early December delivery.. How can I possibly wait that long....such agony!!! Now I remember how far away Christmas seemed when I was a kid!

Hi Bebop: Yes, but why? Both have 61 keys, and I bet you'll like the Tyros2's responsive key action/feel better than the PSR9000. - Scott

Hi Bebop , I believe Mike was refering to the "9000pro", which not only has 76, vs 61 keys on the PSR9000, but the 9000pro's keys are a bit more 'weighted' , and includes a more responsive key action as well. - Scott
