...... into the world of making my own mp3s... MAN do I have questions... ...

I don't have the keyboard to PC hookup yet..
So I recorded my self on tape (don't laugh), recorded that to disc using a Phillips 880, and now I'd like to convert that to mp3 ... I believe I have to go to a wav file first? ... if so, is the freeware I can get for this? .....
thnx,
t.

I'm sure there's lots of others out there that people could recommend also.

Tony,

This stuff isn't neurosurgery. You'll find complete instructions at http://www.psrtutorial.com/Lessons/L_Recording/LPR-MakeCD/lpr-makecd.htm

BTW, did you make the trip to Harrisburg yet? The weather turned out to be just cold and windy, but no snow here. A little bit in PA, but not enough to do much.

Gary .... thanks for the info ... Yes I made the H'burg trip last week ... as you said.. cold, windy, some flurries, but not of any consequence, fortunately ...
Where are you located. I don't get down there often, but perhaps at some time we could get together .......

Tony,

I'm near the town of Bel Air, about 40 miles northeast of Baltimore, 15 miles west of I-95. Next time you're headed this direction, let me know and we can meet up--I'm buying the beer!

Cheers,

Gary
