Hello experienced users,
I have a problem with the Vocalizer on my "new" (bought used - six month old) Solton X1 Oriental.
The Vocalizer emits voice only at random and very very rarely, although I tried so many vocalizing modes and I sing in tune to the left and/or right chord depending on the parameters. The microphone works ok in other inputs and I think all the Vocalizers settings are fine.
In addition, after many tries, the keyboard even started emitting clicks (2/4 per seconds) both when resting or playing, whenever I activated the Vocalizer from the Effects Menu. (A bit like an interference cycling effect, although I disconnected all possible equipment in the vicinity).
The sound comes from both internal and external speakers and can only be stopped by shutting the keyboard on and off.

Has anybody in this community any idea what could be wrong with the Vocalizer and how to solve it?
Is there a way to reinizialise the Vocalizer independently or do some specific tests to identify and solve the problem>

Your help is very much appreciated.
Thanks

Cosmik,

Below the circuit board holding the 4 outputs (PB361) is a cable. Make sure this cable is still conected at both ends. If not, a circulating 'popping' sound could be experienced when the unit is on and activated.

Thanks,

AJ

Thank you for your tip AJ.
I received the keyboard with the vocalizer installed. Could you direct me on how to access the vocalizer board so that I can check it?
Thank you very much.
