I just bought the Casio WK3700 for a beginning student who trusted me enough to give me $400 and buy her the best that I could.

I, like others of you, am impressed with the bang for the buck, except, I can't figure out three simple things from reading the manual.
1. When playing with rhythm, the left hand voice does not sound while playing chords.
2. How do you transpose one side of a split only ?(oct shift), The whole keyboard is affected.
3. Again, with a split(no rythm), how do I lower the volume of one side only. I don't mean accmt volume.

I guess I had better learn the keyboard before I give a lesson.

Thanks
Bernie

Bernie,
Hit the button "mixer" and then the part you are playing will be flashing under the screen. There are 16 parts and if you push the buttons, under the screen from left to right you are selecting the upper one, upper two, left, etc. You can now, once you've selected mixer functins use the curser up and down to select things like volume, pan, effects levels, octaves, etc. All of this is in the owners manual but you have to search to find them. Look in the section where "mixer" functions are explained.

Thanks George.
I saw that and figured the channel information pertained to MIDI transmission.
