when i record something on my keyboard, (more than 1 track), and save it to floppy and when i open it in cakewalk the whole song is only on one track, actualy 2, the other one is master track. what should i do to make each instrument on it`s own track, instead all notes on one track in cakewalk music creator? It even happens on other softwares.

Vadim, There are two formats, 1 and 0..One format records 16 midi channels to 16 tracks...the other records 16 midi channels to one track...All you need to do is resave the sequence to your preferred format..

Clarify: Midi Format 0..16 channels, 16 tracks..

Midi format 1..16 midi channels, 1 track..

Cakewalk splits midi format 0 song files into individual tracks anyway, so from an edit viewpoint it looks the same whether you edit midi format 0 or midi format 1 songs.
