Had a listen to most all your tunes from both sites, Mp3 and Esh....

Very impressive in all respects. I have to say I like the vocal pieces the best though. The instrumentals are great easy listening pieces also, however I very much enjoyed your lyrics and melodies.

All around on both the vocal pieces and the instrumentals.....solid 10.

BTW...on some of your vocal pieces, when you do the back up singing, are you using a harmonizer? If so, which one?

Also...who's on the "Hush" vocals? Very cool.

Okay, okay... thanks one and all. One of the reasons I got away from using "Esh" in discussion groups was because I'd rather talk about keyboards and their applications today rather than myself, bygone days and the music thereof. But to be freindly, here's some info:

Everything on the MP3 site is relatively old (recorded 1985-89), so no harmonizers were used, the albums were recorded on an Akai analog 12-track recording beast some of you may remember, the female vocalist was a singer from Atlanta named Gwen Hughes (http://www.gwenhughes.com/). While I still like some of my old music, a good bit of it I'd just as soon forget. One day I cleaned out my demo closet and arranged the songs into albums on MP3.com to be rid of them and allow people who still insist on buying copies a place to do that.

The original midi files on the MidiStudio site come from a time when I was hooked into a screwjob project to compose music for a certain soundcard manufacturer. And the other copy midi files were from my live act long ago and once I put them on my website as demos they turned into public property (I didn't know the MidiStudio site had them posted - I guess they got them from the web). I stopped posting my pop/copy music midi files on the web many years ago.

As the Don Henley song says, everything is different now. I gave up singing, singers, writing, chasing record deals and the weight that went with all of the above. Now I sell copy albums at my gigs only and hand out website cards for those who want more. And play, which is all I ever really wanted to do.
