Yep, that's exactly what attacked me. The site actually is a backup of the files on my local hard drive. So I simply reuploaded them. The SQL databases on the server were another matter. I'm having them restored. In the process, I'll also get the latest version of PHP installed. (and start making weekly backups of the forum as well!)

My sympathy is with you Joe. I know exactly how you feel as Synth Zone has been taken down twice by hackers over the years, not a virus but the result is the same. There was no motiviation to do it but it was simply because the hackers happened to find a vulnerable server.

I sincerely hope you are able to bring up PSR Tutorial from your backups very soon. Thanks for keeping us all updated on this forum in the meantime.

Thank you, Nigel. I remember all the withdrawal symptoms folks had when the Synthzone wasn't available. I'm happy to say that, as of about one hour ago, I got the PSR Tutorial Forum restored and back up in operation. I also upgraded it to the latest version and immediately made a backup that I have downloaded to my hard disk! I'm very glad it's all fixed now since Christmas is right around the corner and with the house filling up with company, I wouldn't get much time at the computer.
