I know that they are heavy (SX250) i dont relay care .... but talkin about sound ?

As a SxA100 owner myself, I too was a bit confused with the specs given by Rintincop. Not only do the Sxa100's include & utilize the EV model F200 plastic floor monitor feet (2/speaker), but the SxA100+, SxA360, as well as all other 12" woofer SxA or Sx series speakers also utilize the model F200 plastic floor monitor feet. No screws, no metal bracket, and no tools required. - Scott

I don't think SX250 is a powered speaker. The SXA250 is, and as UD says it is made of wood so it is heavier.

Scott, it appears from the specs that the 360 compromise on frequency response. The 60 Hz at -10 db is quite a weak bottom end (the high end also suffers a bit). It would seem that for a good bass response one would need to use a subwoofer with the 360s.

I've always been impressed by EV's offerings and these look as good as usual.

However I was going to have a little moan about the statement "Continuous Average Power" - it has no formal meaning. In these circumstances my usual rule is to divide the rating figures by 2. Whats so wrong with RMS ratings - at least the figure means something!

But then I looked at the spec sheet you can get to if you follow the link kindly provided. And the spec sheet says that these power figures are RMS.

So what we really have here is an active speaker with built-in 350W and 150W RMS amps.

Thats serious oomf for a cab of this size.

So now I'm a happier bunny but why the **** does the press release choose to replace "RMS" with "Continuous Average Power"?
