hi all, chords,,, ive got to the stage where i can play nearly all the chords in the left hand and single finger melody with right hand, even though i could use in time to play the chords in the right hand bearing in mind that playing the melody and harmony with the right hand CONSTANTLY changing inversions ,,,,,,is it worth the effort ,your views are greatly appreciated, mike

Yes, it is worth it. Playing full chords with the right hand will give you a fuller, richer sound. Although IMO, it depends on the voice you are using. Solo instruments, such as flute, trumpet, violin, sax, should be played single fingered. Piano, organ, strings, brass, should be played full chord. For guitar I try to strum the chords from left to right. If only I had more fingers. Star
