Would be possible to connect two footswitches to each other ?
I now have two footswitches connected to my Yamaha psr9000 ...one footswitch to change the variation and the other to change the Ots.
If it would be possible to connect the two footswitches I should only have to puch ones on a footswitch to perform the two changes (variation and ots) ?

I would open the two footswitches and and make one of it....is this possible ,
Did anyone try this ??

technically it should be possible.
A foot switch is just a switch, depending on the brandof keyboard they are normaly open or normaly closed.

To make one footswitch operate 2 inputs, the switch would have to have a dual contact, one for each input. I have build my own footswitches before, industrial grade because the flimsy roland/yamaha switches dont last.

You could acheive the same result by removing the cord from one of the switches and soldering it to the same contact points in the other switch. Then you would have one switch with two cords coming out of it. Plug the two jacks into the same two pedal inputs and you will now have one switch which activates both functions at the same time.

Why not getting a splicer, like you use for headphones?
2 male 1/4 inch one female, one foot switch.

Arno's solution is the only, very best and safest one : Two totally independent (not connected electrically) switches.

Chris and Eric's are pretty risky.... it's like connecting 2 mains power-chord leads to each other without knowing what the voltage and frequency is !
(e.g. EU has 230V/50Hz and US have 115V/60Hz)

It is possible in instrument A the 'tip' of the jack is Ground, while in instument B the 'tip' is connected to Ground.

The signal-levels/polarity differences can cause severe damage in instruments.

Roel is right,

Connecting those leads might do damage to your board.
The signal is a low voltage DC Signal, BUT....
By connecting the leads together you basicaly connect the 2 inputs on the board together, this might short out some of the electronics.!!!!!!!!!!
