Horn work would better be highlighted, with a thicker bass ( with some sustain ), a change of drum kits ( something with more natural snare hits at least ) , some organ/electric piano chords.
The horn has a somewhat natural sound to it, that I just feel could be enhanced if it wasn't in conflict with other elements...and with slight changes to better meld things.
More or less...pick voices thats strong points can counter the weak points of another.
At least thats what I would try to do
"If I could give a suggestion as well: When playing with the trumpet instrument try sliding into notes by hitting the previous note/s on your way to the note you want to play.
This gives it a much more natural (as opposed to keyboard) sound."
Not to pick on ya keyBplayer, only I agree with this much...slides/slurs/hammers can help flesh things out. Also if the tryos horns have multisamples, its nice to throw a few well placed squeals and squawks ( sustained, or just quick higher octave stabs whatever in ). Might want to screw around with the mod wheel for some wavering inflections. Outside of that...slight pitch bend work can help smooth out slides/slurs/hammers if you wanted to go all out.
