It's probable that you have already had some discussion regarding the new Genesys. I downloaded a clip from the show in Calif. Wow... is it impressive or what? Have any of you seen or played this masterpiece of ingenuity? One would have to wonder what is after Genesys... Exodus perhaps? LOL It seems to have everything all in one unit. A little heavy perhaps and certainly pricy, but then again look at what your getting. Is there anything comparable to it?

The newest version of the Genesys is the Genesys PRO. The Genesys PRO also has 61 Keys but without the internal speakers of the Genesys. The Genesys PRO is therefore quite a bit lighter than the Genesys. The Genesys PRO also has upgraded samples of Voices in it, ie., "many higher quality voices included in the sample set" compared to the Genesys and the PRO has additional features also.

It is possible that the demo you heard was from the new Genesys Ensemble Stage Piano. The Genesys Ensemble's demo is truly wonderful. GEM did an excellent job producing it. If that's the demo you heard there is unfortunately no information on GEM's Italy site concerning the Genesys Ensemble. Possibly Paul Davis of GEM could further enlighten us as to where there is information and specs concerning the Genesys Ensemble. From what I understand it is a "Stage Piano" and not necessarily an Arranger Keyboard. Although it could indeed have Arranger functions.

Best regards,
Mike

The Genesys and the Genesys PRO have the exact same exact sample sets, so these intruments are sonicly the same. I will post all the "Demos" shortly.

Hey Paul,

So it's the Genesys Ensemble (only) that has the increased sound ROM to include the piano samples from the Promega 3 as well as other new sounds and styles. And the hard drive capacity has been increased from 4 gigs to 20 gigs.

Any chance of those enhancements making their way into the Genesys and Genesys Pro?
